Customer Protection Analyst

About the position

After an initial stealth phase of building our real-time cross-border payments platform and app, we are getting ready to launch our product and revolutionize financial services for Central Americans. We are working to build our first customer protection and operational team. We want passionate individuals ready for a challenge, cross-team supporters, ready to learn but also to share their learnings with the team. We are also looking for caring persons who can help Tumoni close the financial inclusion gap, which has widened over the last 40 years.

What you will do at Tumoni

  • Use different contact channels to Interact with, support, and guide customers through the Tumoni app.
  • Perform risk and compliance assessments of Tumoni account holders.
  • Manage and escalate, if necessary, any customer complaint according to the UDAAP and CFPB guidelines.
  • Foster a culture of compliance and risk awareness through feedback and solutions-oriented collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with the product team to enhance the App based on feedback.

  • Bachelor’s degree; courses and certifications (e.g., KYC, CKYCA, CAFP) are a plus.
  • Proven experience in Fintech, Banking or Remittances industries are a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with compliance tools, risk assessments, and regulatory audits.
  • Familiarity with operational and IT risk management in technology-driven environments.
  • Reside in Nicaragua, this is an on-site role in Managua.
  • Spanglish - Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
