Jr. Product Manager

About the position

We're developing the first financial super app for Central Americans, redefining the way they send, save and manage their money across borders. After a successful stealth phase, we're preparing to launch it in multiple markets. You'll collaborate with design, engineering, and marketing teams to create a seamless, secure, and scalable product. As we navigate complex technical and compliance challenges, you'll ensure a best-in-class user experience. Your work will directly influence Tumoni's long-term product strategy and reshape financial access for millions of Central Americans.

What you will do at Tumoni

  • Build and launch the first financial super app for Central Americans— Enable instant and free remittances, multi-currency accounts and financial services tailored to Central Americans in the U.S. and their families back home.
  • Bridge compliance and usability— Simplify complex, multi-country financial regulations into intuitive and seamless user flows that drive adoption.
  • Obsess over adoption and retention— Rapidly ship and iterate with engineering and design, using data-driven insights to unlock new features and expand markets.
  • Execute the product roadmap— Organize the implementation of high-impact features that enhance financial inclusion, reduce friction in money movement and drive user growth.

What you'll bring to Tumoni:

  • Strong user empathy – Passion for building financial solutions that empower underserved communities, particularly Central Americans in the US and back home.
  • 2+ years of product management experience – Preferably in fintech, payments, or financial services, with a track record of shipping successful products.
  • Highly organized and meticulous - Have a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
  • Deep understanding of financial services – Experience with remittances, payments, digital banking, or multi-currency products is a strong plus.
  • Creative thinking: As a startup, we must design many processes from scratch. Due to the unique nature of our business model and operations, this will require rethinking how things are done traditionally.
  • Ability to simplify complexity – Skilled at distilling regulatory, compliance, and technical constraints into seamless and intuitive user experiences.
  • Technical fluency – Able to collaborate effectively with engineers, understand APIs, and work with payment infrastructure, though coding experience is not required.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership – Proven ability to align stakeholders across engineering, design, compliance, and marketing to drive product success.
  • Spanglish - Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
  • Be based in Nicaragua - This position will work from our offices in Managua's newest business district.
